Rodger Baldwin has served the U.S. Navy for nearly 40 years! He spent the first 6 years on Active duty, achieving the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class (STG1) in only 3.5 years! The remainder of that time he has worked with The Department of The Navy as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist, working with computers, software, Cyber Security, and Electronics.

Rodger has been on a huge personal journey over the last seven years, incorporating Weightlifting, Running, Professional Modeling, competing in Men’s Physique competitions, Public Speaking, and more recently Dancing! He has lost a total of 77 pounds, and feels like he is in the best shape of his life. Rodger believes “A Comfort Zone is a Great Place to be, but not a lot grows there!” As a result, he consciously continues to get outside of his comfort zone, to try new things and capitalize on new experiences. Rodger continues to encourage and inspire others through his activities related to his weight loss journey, including his public speaking engagements. He continues to present a “Lifestyle Change” resulting in success rather than a diet. He acknowledges that no one can make it happen overnight, and you will get off your path, or “fall off the wagon”, occasionally, and will just have to get up, dust yourself off and keep going! Persistence and discipline are the key to succeed.

His most recent speaking engagement was a huge success, when he presented a “Lifestyle Change” to a Bariatric Support group at one of the local hospitals. Rodger followed up, by joining this group in a 5K race. During this race he helped one person set a new personal record, taking nearly 10 minutes off their previous best time! Then ran back to assist several others to finish their first 5K ever!

Rodger hopes by getting out of his comfort zone and showing his own capabilities and determination that he can continue to serve as an inspiration and mentor to others.

After the passing of his mother in January 2020, Rodger learned there are a lot of unanswered questions when it comes to probate. This is when Rodger decided to leave his service with the Department of the Navy, and created his own business, Probate Solutions, LLC. He created this business to assist people that are experiencing many of the trials and tribulations of probate.

When approached with the opportunity of competing in “First Coast Dancing with The Stars”, while there was some hesitation (There’s that Comfort Zone setting in), he was excited about the new experience and the great things that “Beaches Fine Art Series” does for our community! His answer was a resounding “Let’s Do It!”

If you, or someone you know, is frustrated with, or has questions related to Probate, you may reach Rodger at Probate Solutions, LLC, www.probatesolutionsjax.com, (904) 788-5533, or probatesolutionsjax@gmail.com.

If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you!
