Pablo Rivera graduated from Cooper Union Art School in NYC, and also attended workshops at School of Visual Arts and Educational Alliance in NYC.

He has exhibited in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, California and Florida and has exhibited locally at the St. Augustine Art Association, Museum of Contemporary Art, Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach, Art After Dark, The R. Roberts Gallery, Avondale Art Works, The Art Center- Jacksonville, The Jacksonville Coalition of Visual Arts, First Coast Plein Air Painters, The Ritz Museum, North East Florida Sculptors and the Southlight Gallery.

Pablo is an accomplished artist in sculpture, painting and photography.  He is currently exhibiting his works at the Vault and Southlight galleries, and he is also teaching sculpture, watercolor, and charcoal drawing, as well as heading up figure drawing, for the Art League of Jacksonville.

Pablo came to the Beaches Fine Arts Series originally as a triathlete, competing in the BFAST fundraiser sprint triathlon series at the beach, after which he progressed on to compete in 5 Ironman competitions.

His friend and fellow artist, Annelies Dykgraaf, was scheduled to roll off the BFAS board as the Visual Artist Coordinator and the board needed a replacement.  At this time Pablo’s background included several artistic disciplines and he just fresh off of having an exhibit at one of the BFAS concerts. It was at this concert he became more familiar with the purpose of the BFAS and how they provided free concerts with top names in classical music, and also outreach programs for children as well.  After serving as the Visual Arts Coordinator for over ten years, he retired from the Board two years ago.

Pablo is an experienced triathlete and runner and has competed in the following events and races: 13 NYC Marathons, 4 Yonkers marathons, over 30 marathons, 40 Ultramarathons including 3 Philadelphia to Atlantic City 100K races, 2 100K national races, 2 24 Hour races [1-83 miles], and 2 Vermont 100-mile trail races. He also completed in 5 Ironman triathlons and several Sprint and international distance triathlons.
