Jessica Ring recently won her election for City Commissioner in Atlantic Beach in November of 2022. Public service was at the heart of her pursuit to be an elected official for the community she grew up in and loves so dearly, and it is her passion and motivation behind much of her life’s work. She has a master’s degree in public administration and government leadership from the University of North Florida and a bachelor’s degree in education from Rollins College.
Aside from her work governing the city of Atlantic Beach on the City Commission, Jessica has been a public educator for over 16 years. She has worked as a classroom teacher and gifted program coordinator in Duval Schools and currently with Florida Virtual School District.
Prior to winning her election, Commissioner Ring served as chair on the Atlantic Beach Mayor’s Council for Health and Well-Being. It is a pleasure and honor for her to give back to the Atlantic Beach community.
Commissioner Ring is a public educator and mother of three young daughters. She, alongside her husband, a Jacksonville Firefighter, are raising their family in Atlantic Beach. Together they enjoy bike and golf cart rides around the beaches, taking their girls to the park, attending church at Beaches Chapel in Neptune Beach, and family nights at home with their cats (Steven and Angus) and rescue dog from Puerto Rico, Mirabel.
