Clarissa has been involved with choral work and classical music all over the country as she moved with Warren’s various positions – Denver, Cleveland, Charlotte, Pone Vedra Beach, San Carlos in the Bay Area of California and retiring back to Ponte Vedra Beach. She has volunteered in school, choral and fine arts organizations in each location.  She has her BA from Tulane University with an emphasis in International Relations.

While living Florida during 1991-2012 Clarissa loved singing with the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus, serving on the Executive Committee of the previously existing Symphony Guild; The Nutcracker Board; Beaches Residents Actively Supporting the Symphony (BRASS), serving as President 2005-2007; and both the Board and Executive Committee of the Jacksonville Symphony 2008-2012.

While living in California, she had the great pleasure of singing in community choruses that led to the opportunity to perform both at the Kennedy Center and the Sidney Opera House – bucket list experiences checked!

Clarissa has retired to Ponte Vedra Beach where she lives with Warren, husband of 45 wonderful and adventurous years and enjoys choral participation, playing tennis, trying new recipes, gardening and being grandmother to adorable boys 5 and 9.  On the weekends you will find her attending the wonderful concerts provided by the Beaches Fine Arts Series.  She is thrilled to be participating in Dancing with the Stars and helping BFAS continue its award-winning outreach mission well into the future.

Star Clarissa Chandler will be dancing with
