MEGAN WALLACE WIDRICH

I started dancing back in 2000 to try something new. Little did I know that decision would change the course of my life. I began teaching in 2003 at an Arthur Murray Dance Studio as an instructor in Tallahassee.

Over the years I’ve taught throughout Jacksonville at dance studios, salsa nights, high schools, and even founded my own studio. Some of my favorite moments are when I get to see how dance can change people’s lives! I get to help people discover something they didn’t know was possible for them. Moments like these have given me the passion and the drive to make sure dance will always be a part of my life.

Since 2014, when I joined Dance Alday in Ponte Vedra Beach, it has been my home away from home, a dance family and a great space with people with whom I’ve formed bonds that go far beyond the ballroom.

Outside of the arts community, I am also proud to work full time at the Mayo Clinic for the past six years. While ballroom dancing for twenty-two years has been my passion, my inspiration now comes from my husband, whom I adore, and our three boys who support everything I do. I hope my boys find something in their lives that brings them as much happiness and joy as dancing has brought me. I continue to teach and dance for that very reason.

Dance fuels the soul!
